    Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Systems Engineer, SME supporting an Intelligence Community Customer on an Enterprise Management and Cyber Security outsourcing contract.


    The right candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.


    • Experience developing systems, products, and/or processes based on a total systems perspective.
    • Consults, plans, analyzes, designs, develops, tests, assures quality, configures, installs, implements, integrates, maintains, and manages systems.
    • Has and maintains a diverse set of skills across multiple technical disciplines with recognized expertise in multiple disciplines and possess advanced knowledge of multiple mature and emerging technologies.
    • Works across organizational boundaries, both internally and externally and helps to drive the relationship between technical solutions and business needs of customers.
    • Analyzes, defines and documents customer needs and required functionality.
    • Designs, develops and tests theoretical and/or physical models and develops the system design, considering operational impacts, performance, testing, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training, maintenance, and support.
    • Performs system level design trade analysis, reviews and approves system specifications and description documents, determines how a system is to be built, tested, and implemented, plans the system development execution and ensures adherence to appropriate standards, policies, principles, and practices.
    • Analyzes system capacity and performance to support problem resolution and system enhancements and monitors systems tests.
    • Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of providing technical assistance, consultation, advice and support, and regularly provides advice and recommends actions and solutions involving complex issues.


    Clearance Required: TS/SCI

    Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 12 Years of Experience

    Required Certifications: IASAE Level 2 Certification: CISSP (or Associate), CASP CE, CSSLP


    Skill Requirements:

    • Experience with Firewall Configuration and administration
    • Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) configuration and administration
    • Experience in securing Cloud Technologies
    • Experience and working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53A, ICD 503, FISMA, DCID 6/3, relationships between IC and DoD policies for assessment and authorization (A&A)
    • Experience in developing technical documentation and writing reports and white papers
    • Experience in Host Based Security and Network End Point Security
    • Skilled in using network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities
    • Skilled in assessing the robustness of security systems and designs
    • Skilled in determining how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes
    • Skilled in developing and apply security system access controls
    • Skilled in assessment of industry IT operating system, software database, or hardware
    • Skilled in systems engineering, requirements analysis, system development, software development, or hardware development as applied to the information assurance or cyber security field
    • Ability to prepare the various types of security related documents
    • Ability to conduct vulnerability scans and recognize vulnerabilities in security systems
    • Ability to evaluate the trustworthiness of the supplier and/or product
    • Ability to evaluate the adequacy of security designs
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships internally and externally to the client organization
    • Understand how to implement Network Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies
    • Understand how to develop or architect with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Knowledge of commercial or military software development methodologies, process and standards
    • Knowledge of web services protocols, including Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), and Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI)
    • Knowledge of structured content tools and languages, and content management systems
    • Knowledge in writing security scripts (Python helpful)
    • Knowledge and experience of virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory operations
    • Responsible for planning, organizing and implementation of all aspects of enterprise architecture. You will develop open source, enterprise infrastructure, applications, systems, or enterprise integration solutions, including tiered, virtualized, and cloud-based environments. Develop as-is and to-be architecture, including DoDAF views.
    • Performing Enterprise Cyber Solution Planning and provide Analyses of Alternatives
    • Development and design of architectures to optimize infrastructure
    • Facilitate Architecture Review Boards
    • Implement approved design and work to transition to Mission Systems Teams upon Completion any projects being planned and implemented by IC Customer.
    • Requires a strong background in Cyber Projects that are hardware and software related and networking, switching, routing, and network security, as this position will develop enterprise solutions
    • ITIL Foundations desired
