Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community Customer. 


The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.


  • Works effectively on several phases of systems/software programming/analysis with little direction, but may require some instruction and guidance for other aspects.
  • Provides advanced and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems for the organization's products.
  • May assist in the coding of benchmark testing, job accounting and other control modules developed internally by the company.
  • May assist with moderately complex software applications, such as system generations, compilers, link editors, and assemblers.
  • The Systems Engineer for Enterprise Management tools has experience maintaining and supporting core infrastructure applications (and the other elements of the technical architecture) using a unified collection of technology services, tools, standards and control structures.

  • The goal is to ensure the continuous delivery of IT Operations, Security, Network, Collaboration, and Data Center technology to ensure that critical applications can respond effectively and perform against the demands placed on them. 

  • The Systems Engineer is responsible for analysis, design, build, testing, and configuration of Network Monitoring/Management tools in support of off-the-shelf Enterprise Management products to support monitoring, metrics, and analytics associated with IT service health and service level monitoring. 


Clearance Required: TS/SCI


Degree and Years of Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other technical major and at least 5 year of recent systems engineer/administration experience, OR at least 10 years of recent experience in systems engineering/administration 
  • 1-2 years of cloud administration and scripting experience


Required Certifications:

  • IAT II (Security +)

Required Skills:

  • Design, evaluate, provision, configuration, and support of Network Monitoring tools 
  • Support monitoring and management of Enterprise Management tools.
  • Development automation of manual tasks using tools such as Chef, Puppet, and scripting languages Python and Perl. 

Desired Skills: 

  • IT systems administration experience in the Intelligence Community
  • Red Hat Linux System Administration experience
  • Windows Server Experience
  • Experience with BMC TrueSight a plus
  • Amazon AWS compute, storage, database, and networking administration experience
  • Experience with Java web applications a plus
  • Development of scripts (shell/perl/Python) and automation (Chef/Puppet)
  • Experience in supporting 24/7 operations
