Abile Group is looking for a high performing Copy Center Support Lead to join our team in St. Louis, MO and Springfield, VA. Copy Center Support includes all of the copy, printing and publishing services in order to support the post-production of the products required by the Government. Post-production operations will include, but not limited to cutting, folding and various binding options. Post-production operations will be performed on the Heidelberg family of post-production machines including folders, perfect binders, and cutters.


The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.


  • The candidate is responsible for ensuring all employees assigned to provide Copy Center and Scanning support services have detailed knowledge of the full functionality of the Canon image PRESS C10000VP, Heidelberg family of post-production equipment, and a Kluge Foil Stamper, bulk scanning, and overhead / large format scanning processes and equipment during the performance of this contract.
  • The Copy Center produces 6-8 million copies annually. The candidate shall be familiar with basic maintenance on these printers.
  • The candidate shall provide printing services, (not otherwise provided as Government Furnished) to support copying, printing, and publishing requirements.
  • Post-production operations will include, but not be limited to, perfect binding, cutting, folding and various binding options.
  • Post-production operations will be performed on the Heidelberg family of post-production machines including folders, perfect binders, and cutters.
  • Historical documents shall be individually scanned page-by-page and handled appropriately for preservation based on guidance from the Customer Historian.
  • All scanned documents shall be entered into a searchable database and easily accessible by the Government and tagged with appropriate metadata. 
  • Leads Copy Center staff in operation of digital press copiers and overhead / large format scanners.
  • Maintains quality control records for all copiers and scanners.
  • Orders and restocks paper, toner and other copier supplies to support the mission.
  • Works with the Program Manager to select and manage professional talent.


Clearance Required: TS/SCI


Degree and Years of Experience: Requires an Associates Degree in technical support or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience. Two (2) years of related experience may be substituted for a degree; 7+ years w/ High School Diploma, 5+ years w/Associate degree


Required Skills:

  • The candidate shall create and maintain a searchable database with necessary information to track requests, product types, paper counts, ink usage, etc. and easily accessible by the Government.  

  • The candidate shall provide scanning services, (not otherwise provided as Government Furnished) to support bulk and overhead / large format scanning requirements. Products for scanning include documents, photographs, 35mm slides, large maps, historical maps, books, etc. 

  • The candidate must be fully capable to handle large format delicate historical documents for scanning.

  • Employees must be proficient in metadata tagging digital documents and maintaining a searchable database.

  • Working knowledge of modern overhead / large format scanners.

  • Proficient in writing detailed technical reports.
