Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

 

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and Maintains Platform as a Service Offering using RedHat OpenShift
  • Works with A&A Team to maintain security requirements for operation of systems
  • Maintains and improves existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)
  • Produces detailed documentation
  • Maintains System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS
  • Maintains System in a VMware vSphere environment, using NSX, and NetApp StorageGRID
  • Automates and optimizes service deployments

Qualifications

Clearance Required: Active or Reinstateable TS/SCI required with ability to pass a CI Poly

 

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience

  • 5+ years IT experience
  • 5+ years experience with Platform as a Service Offerings (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)

 

Required Certifications:

  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements 

Desired Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator

Required Skills: 

  • Prior experience building and maintaining Platform as a Service offerings via Cloud based providers
  • Strong understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions
  • Strong understanding of RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributions
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus
  • Strong communication skills

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience administering production RedHat OpenShift clusters
  • Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt or Terraform
  • Experience working with one or more Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare)
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
