Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Security Analyst Area Security Officer working as part of a vibrant team on a contract providing cybersecurity and infrastructure protection services in support of an Intelligence Agency customer. All the personnel on the team will work collaboratively to support the mission and protect the agency’s personnel, facilities, information, and systems. This includes delivering expert guidance and oversight to ensure a robust and effective protection program across multiple security domains and global locations.

 

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.
  • Assists, collaborates, and coordinates with other SIS offices and divisions.
  • Develops solutions and conveys to internal and external customers.
  • Provides security guidance to contractors using DoD and IC regulations and requirements – analyzes complex data and makes appropriate program recommendations.
  • Monitors security applications through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics and maintains required records.
  • Prepares and disseminates security procedures/guidance.
  • Investigates and prepares impact statements and provides recommendations on security/security violations.
  • Provides guidance as required in implementing security requirements.
  • Interprets security policy on matters pertaining to process, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
  • Receives, controls and safeguards SCI and collateral information.
  • Acts as liaison between other federal agencies and contractors.
  • Prepares both SCI and collateral materials for shipment to other agencies/sites applicable security handling procedures.
  • Prepares outgoing classified messages on employees/contractor visiting other government facilities.
  • Prepares and delivers briefings to internal and external customers.
  • Prepares various forms of correspondence.
  • Recommends to the customer proper classification/protection of national security data.
  • Briefs, processes, and schedules external requests for polygraphs, clearances, debriefs, and background investigations.
  • Provides telephone and written status checks, including checks of internal and external personnel security databases.
  • Assists Program Managers (PMs), Contracting Officers (COs), and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to prepare task order security guidance (e.g., DD Form 254) in accordance with the NISPOM, FAR and DFAR requirements.
  • Establishes emergency and contingency plans to protect assets in heightened levels of threat conditions.
  • Utilizes a variety of security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.
  • Performs functions as security control officer by verifying need-to-know processing program access requests, maintains applicable access databases, and conducts indoctrinations, debriefs, and annual training/revalidation, as needed.
  • Obtains Access to Special Access Program (SAP), Control Access Program (CAP) and/or Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) Information as required for the execution.
  • Performs and conducts site security surveys, including compliance of technology equipment supporting SCIFs and collateral areas (e.g., access control, intrusion detection systems, locks, destruction devices, secure phones, etc.,), prior to SCIF accreditation.
  • Reviews and, if required, prepares Fixed Facility Checklist and documentation supporting the accreditation process.
  • Investigates, and provides written impact statements or recommendations when deviations from standards are discovered and the resolution, for all SCIFs and collateral areas both government and contractor CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Interprets security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
  • Provides industrial security guidance to contractors using the NISPOM requirements.
  • Provides support to established OPSEC program.
  • Ensures compliance with policies DoD and agency standards, and Executive Orders regarding OPSEC and information security.
  • Assists the government team and other Divisions to determine the scope and direction of the Program.
  • Prepares briefings and products (e.g., website content and computer-based training).
  • Provides technical security expertise in one or more of the following security disciplines: personnel, physical/industrial, computer investigations, and operations.
  • Monitors and manages security programs and provides status reports and recommendations for decisions.
  • Provides agency level technical expertise concerning the identified security disciplines.

Qualifications

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.

 

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in one or more security fields

Desired Certifications:

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). 

Required Skills:

  • Experience using IC security repositories (DISS, Scattered Castles, etc.)
  • Experience writing security related reports.
  • Experience providing security briefings/training to non-security personnel on aspects or components of a security program.

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience generating security metrics.
  • Managing SCIF locations in accord with ICD 705 requirements.
  • Using online communication programs (such as Microsoft Teams).
  • Familiar with DoD task order Security Classification Specification (DD 254).
  • Experience in multiple security disciplines.
